HeLives · Our Story
Broken.
Found.
Unashamed.
Two young men. Two very different paths. One God who met them both, and a brand built to make sure you never feel ashamed of that.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16
The Founder
I Lost My Father
at Nine Years Old.
Grief at that age does not look like grief. It looks like confusion, a quiet kind of lost that is hard to name. I was nine years old and the ground beneath me had shifted. And I did not know how to talk about it, so I carried it alone.
My mother was a woman of deep faith. She held our family together with prayer when everything around us was falling apart. She tried, with everything she had, to bring me closer to God. She talked about Him, prayed over me, brought me to church. And I would sit there, unmoved, resistant. I told myself I did not need it. That it was not for me.
"I thought faith was for people who had it easier than me. I did not realise it was made exactly for people like me."
For years I wandered. Not in a dramatic way, but in the quiet, hollow way of someone with no anchor. I tried to fill that space with other things. None of it worked. None of it lasted.
Then slowly, honestly, I let God in. And I felt something I had not felt in a very long time: purpose. Not a destination, but a deep, settled sense that my life meant something. That the pain I had carried was not wasted. That He had been there the whole time, patient, waiting.
And here is what I wish someone had told me sooner: I was never supposed to be ashamed of that. Not of needing Him. Not of finding Him. Not of building my entire life on that foundation. Faith is not weakness. Walking toward God after everything I had been through was the bravest thing I have ever done, and I will never apologise for it.
The Co-Founder
He Did Not
Believe at All.
My co-founder grew up without faith. Not hostile toward it, just completely indifferent. He was rational, self-sufficient, and comfortable in his atheism. Religion was not part of his world. He was not looking for it and did not think he needed it.
But life has a way of asking questions that logic alone cannot answer. Questions about meaning. About what we are actually here for. About why certain things hit deeper than they should if nothing really matters. Those questions kept coming, and eventually, he stopped running from them.
"I came to faith through questions I could not stop asking, and a God who kept showing up in the answers."
His conversion was slow, honest, and deeply personal. He wrestled with it. He pushed back hard. He asked every difficult question. And at the end of all of it, he found something he had not been looking for, and could not walk away from.
One of the biggest things he had to overcome was the pressure to keep it quiet. To believe privately and present publicly as something more acceptable. He refused. Because once you have found what we have found, there is nothing to be ashamed of. There is only something worth sharing.
Why We Built This
We Are Done
Being Quiet About It.
One of us nearly missed God because life hit too hard too early. The other nearly missed Him because the world made faith feel like something to be embarrassed about. We both know what it is like to be on the outside, and we both know what it feels like when you finally step in.
HeLives exists because this generation deserves to wear their faith like they mean it. Not apologetically. Not quietly in the corner. Not hidden behind closed doors or saved for Sunday mornings. Boldly. Proudly. Without shame. Because the God who created you, saved you, and called you is worth standing up for.
"You were not saved to blend in. You were chosen to stand out, and HeLives is here to remind you of that every single day."
We are building a brand, a community, and a movement for believers who are done shrinking. For the ones who are searching. For the ones who found God in the mess and are not afraid to say so.
No Shame
Your faith is not something to hide. It is the most powerful thing about you.
Authenticity
We tell the truth about where we came from. No polished version. No performance.
Purpose
Every person, regardless of their past, was placed here with a reason and a calling.
Community
Faith was never meant to be lived alone. We are building something together.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
